HUNGER GAMES COMICS

What the books are actually like

(This amused me.) It also reminded me of how WEIRD the string reference was. Metatron being exasperated that Cas didn’t understand the connection between string and Sherlock Holmes? Its a short story called Silver Blaze - which has to do with making racehorses lame by threading their hocks. If I remember correctly, Holmes figures it out because some sheep in the farm went lame previously - meaning someone was practicing. Oh and there was a horse switch and a horse was dyed a different color. (I haven’t read a lot of Holmes stories…but if it involved horses, i read it many times). Anyway, Metatron has no need to reference this story, he just wants to show off his vast knowledge of literature and gloat that he knows more than Cas. Who, even after he gives him all that knowledge, STILL DOESN”T UNDERSTAND, because Metaron didn’t. Which is why later, when Dean references the Death Star, Cas knows what it is, but not how it relates. Because Metatron is a pretentious douchebag who is out of touch with everything, including the words he took down from God.
